Guided mountain hikes and ski trips

Lundadalen is an ideal starting point for hiking in the mountains in the summer, and skiing in the winter.

In the valley there are many paths to be explored such as the one to Trulsbu and Lundadalsvatnet, surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the area (including the very highest Hestbrepiggen at 2 172 meters).

Perhaps you would like to reach the peak of Hestbrepiggen, or one of the other peaks in the area?  We will guide you safely to the top!

In the winter, the area is perfect for skiing such as ski touring.  Our experienced guides have grown up in the area and are happy to show you the best tracks for great skiing.  Whether you are an experienced skier looking to reach a mountain peak, or you want a family friendly ski trip, we are here to guide you.

For the ultimate mountain experience, you can rent our rustic cabin “seter” for a few nights. For centuries, Norwegians took their cows and sheep up in the mountains for summer pastures called a “seter”.  Many of these little huts and cabins remain today.

Our very own hut Ytste Lundadalsseter is about half-way up the valley, about 5 km from Heimste Lundadalsseter.   There is no electricity nor water in the hut.  Instead, you will have a fireplace and candles in the evening, and water can be found in the river gently flowing right outside the hut.

The “seter” hut has two rooms, rudimentary kitchen, and a fireplace.  Firewood is included in the price.

The “seter” hut can be booked from 1. June – 31. August.

Contact us to book the seter hut.
