Short rides, or a daytrip on a horseback in scenic nature. Fjelleventyret offers horseback riding for beginners or experienced riders alike.
The guides at Fjelleventyret have years of riding experience. When you join us, you can rest assured that both you and the horse will be safely looked after.
Our rides:
Horseback ride for 2,5 hours
Available for booking every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 10 AM.
Join Fjelleventyret on a beautiful horseback ride through stunning cultural landscapes. The ride starts at our farm, located at the entrance to the scenic Lundadalen in Skjåk, and continues along an old mountain road further into the valley. Along the way, we might come across both sheep and cows grazing in the summer pastures. The ride ends at a small waterfall where you can wade in the glacier-green river water with the horses before we turn around and head back to the farm.
Price: kr. 1700,- per person
Minimum age: 12 years
After the ride, you can buy and enjoy a delicious lunch at the farm’s restaurant (Italian pizza or tasty sandwiches).
Horseback ride for 3,5 hours
Available for booking every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 10 AM.
Join us for a beautiful horseback ride through a wild and stunning mountain valley – right up to Breheimen National Park. The ride starts at our farm, located at the entrance to the scenic Lundadalen, and continues along an old mountain road. We ride towards the Moldule waterfall and then proceed further into the valley along a turquoise colored river filled with meltwater from Breheimen. Eventually, we reach an old hunting cabin where we turn around and ride back the same way.
Price: kr. 2250,- per person
Minimum age: 12 years
After the ride, you can buy and enjoy a delicious lunch at the farm’s restaurant (Italian pizza or tasty sandwiches).
Ranch holiday
Experience the authentic ranch life with your own horse and mountain cabin. Upon arrival at Fjelleventyret you will have something to eat before going on a small horseback ride to get to know the horses, before a good night’s sleep at the farm.
After breakfast the next morning, you ride your horses up to our mountain cabin in Lundadalen. Here, you can get a taste of traditional mountain life like it has been for generations, and experience primitive yet excellent accommodation. On day three, the ride back from the cabin includes a campfire lunch by the river. It’s a unique experience that will surely leave you with memories for a lifetime.
